Schonstedt 10/1205CXB-US Offers

The Schonstedt 1205CXB is a Metallic Cable Analyzer TDR for pinpointing copper cable faults quickly, easily, and accurately. The 1205CXB Cable Analyzer is a Time Domain Reflectometer that fires a quick pulse of energy down a cable. A portion of the pulse energy is reflected back from cable imperfections. These imperfections can be discontinuities (eg, cable joints, terminations, changes in cable type, or the far end of the cable under test) or faults (typically short circuits, open circuits, high resistance joints, or water ingress).

The transmitted pulse and reflected pulse(s) are shown on the Schonstedt 1205CXB display. The time taken by the pulse to travel to the imperfection and back is a measure of the distance to the fault. This distinctive trace on the display allows a lineman or electrician to identify and zero in on the distance to a fault safely. The type of imperfection can be assessed by analyzing the displayed waveform.

The Schonstedt 1205CXB can be used in construction, maintenance, fault finding, measuring cable length, and restoration of a cabling system, along with locating: opens and shorts, illegal taps, splitters, and loose or rusty connectors. In addition, the Schonstedt 1205CXB copper cable analyzer can be used to evaluate a variety of different cable types: coax, twisted pair, aerial, low voltage power, and in applications where a change, such as a water leak, impacts the VOP between the two conductors. The 1205CXB Copper Cable Analyzer TDR provides one of the easiest-to-use instruments in the industry with its ultra-clean, low-noise signal, large color display, and all the TDR controls on-screen at your fingertips.

  • Easy to Use
  • All TDR functions are available at the top level, with no additional screens or menus to search through
  • Quick and effective tool for new and experienced users alike
  • Minimizes training, reducing time and costs
  • Ultra-clean, low-noise signals: Spot cable issues clearly without having to hunt through the noise
  • Automatic scanning: Locate faults and set the threshold of the seriousness of the problem for the 1205CXB to find
  • Automatic and manual cursor placement functions: Two independent cursors - the distance between cursors is automatically calculated as their placement changes giving straightforward positioning of problems
  • Automatic dBRL calculation: Eliminates the need to calculate impedance changes in a cable visually and/or manually, saving you time finding the most serious faults
  • Multipurpose USB Port: Advanced connectivity USB port, making it easy to view and export your data, and to charge the battery
  • Waveform storage options and flexibility: Choose whether to save waveforms to USB memory stick or to on-board memory
  • On-board storage location can be short-term, volatile RAM, or permanent Flash memory
  • Save your waveforms to USB stick as bmp image files or as btr files, that are compatible with Radiodetection's easily configurable WaveViewO PC software, or both, to provide multiple options for your reports, work orders etc.
  • WaveView PC software: The WaveView Software provides connectivity between a PC and the 1205CXB TDR, and offers a variety of capabilities for quick and easy enhanced assessment of your waveforms
  • Examine and interpret on-site waveforms in unprecedented detail
  • Generate reports for your client and office
  • Pan and zoom to scrutinize every detail of the waveform to pinpoint and diagnose cable faults
  • Add notes, assess Return Loss (dBRL) figures and even correct mistakes such as VOP errors made on site
  • Analyze a variety of different cable types coax, twisted pair, aerial, low voltage power and others
