Ametek MTC-650A Marine Temperature Calibrator 82 to 1202°F (28 to 650°C). The Ametek MTC series of portable temperature calibrators is specifically designed for marine applications. The MTC series provides simple operation with automatic functions that have been carefully selected for ease of use as well as a wide temperature range, fast heating and cooling properties, and reliability making it the ideal instrument for maintaining correct readings for all onboard temperature monitoring devices. The Ametek MTC series is available in three models capable of calibrating temperatures as low as -17° or as high as 650°C. All models provide outstanding accuracy and stability. Accuracy is enhanced by utilizing Mains power Variance Immunity (MVI) which limits the instability caused by mains power, a major contributor to onboard calibration inaccuracies. The MVI circuitry continuously monitors the supply voltage and ensures a constant energy flow to the heating elements. The MTC-140A does not require the MVI circuitry because the Peltier elements it uses are energized with a stabilized DC voltage. The Ametek MTC series marine temperature calibrators features a number of advanced functions that make running calibrations easy. An automatic switch test saves time while an auto-step function allows users to remotely monitor the calibrator as it automatically steps through a number of pre-programmed temperatures. The MTC series will also find the open and close temperatures on a thermo switch and calculate the dead band. All instrument controls may be performed from the front panel, many with one-key-one-function logic. This means that there are no sub-menus or difficult to remember multiple keystrokes necessary to access primary functions. The easy-to-read, backlit display features dedicated icons, which help in identifying instrument conditions and operational steps. The Ametek MTC series includes JOFRACAL calibration software which ensures easy calibration of RTDs, thermocouples, transmitters, thermo-swithes, pressure gauges and pressure switches. JOFRACAL software controls the complete calibration procedure, stores the results and provides a calibration audit trail through hard-copy certificates. All calibration data are stored for each sensor to monitor drift and optimize recalibration intervals. A scheduler feature allows planning of future calibrations.
